ONE VOICES – installation

Audiovisual sound art at the Aluminum Museum / Holmestrand Musikkfest

Accompanied by video projections by sound and video artist Øystein Kjørstad Fjeldbo, excerpts from Ruth Wilhelmine Meyers’ critically acclaimed vocal sound piece ONE VOICES are presented as a surround sound installation.

The album was released in 2024 on SIMAX Classics and was selected in 2024 as one of the year’s three best albums by music critic Magnus Andersson in Klassekampen.

The videos are projected onto specially produced aluminum panels from SPEIRA and will have their world premiere at this site-specific sound art exhibition.

The audience is thus enveloped by a vocal universe between reflective aluminum panels created by an unprocessed voice in a multidimensional universe—a vocal orchestra that surprises the audience from all sides: unexpectedly and subtly.

Magnus Andersson / Klassekampen / Norway

By harmoniously blending the sounds of her voice, Meyer creates a true musical masterpiece that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries.

Solenopole / France

About One Voices live: The performance has a peculiar mixture of lightness and heaviness. Gravitas, authority, power at one end of the expressive register. Sound that crackles and lets the light through at the other.
