I see myself as a storyteller, using music to tell stories written in sound. I continue my research and exploration of the following:
The musical ornamentation of the Baroque
The vocal warmth and rawness in deeo breath throat sounds of the North Canadian Inuits
Imitations of the sounds of the Northern Siberian nature
The subtle trembling of Western Telemark folk singers
The sonorous tones of Armenian sacred songs
The abundance of opera
The winds whisperings and the variety of the singing birds
The endless varieties of the baby’s sound
These are some of the materials I incorporate for my own stories of sound.
